For those not in the know, the "enemy mixes" are conceptual mixes that reflect the nature of the label. This means that anything goes musically. In this particular mix you can expect to hear everything from house music to minimal, techno, experimental, and more. The result is a mash-up of deep driving club tracks and party jams. This mix also goes beyond conventional DJing as well. Some bits were done on turntables and others were done in Ableton. Ableton allows me to remix or edit tracks on the fly so I can extend or chop up sections of songs and rebuild them. This mix took impromptu editing way beyond the first mix and I've already learned new tricks for the next one. Speaking of...the next mix will actually be part 2 of Sun Worship. So far, 1/2 of it will be a bit more techno than usual and the other half will be the popular fun & funky shit because it's summer and that's just what I am into right now. I expect to record it within the next week hopefully. What's that? Why Sun Worship? Because it's cheesy just like half the tracks in the mix...enjoy!
