Catalog Number: enemy005
Format: Vinyl, 12″
Released: 27 September 2012

Dustin Zahn returns to Enemy with “Reconstructions II,” the second in a series of mini-compilations focusing on Dustin’s remix work. While 2008’s first installment focused on more of a clubbier sound, this release focuses heavily on Dustin’s “Monolith” sound. Like the first EP, this release features remixes that have not been available on vinyl…until now.

The A-side belongs to Dustin Zahn’s heavy remixes of Tim Xavier, which was released relatively recently on Tim’s LTD400 label. The Monolith remix is sparse yet heavy, while the Main Floor mix is geared towards peak time play. The B-side follows a similar formula. Both remixes originate from Minneapolis-based producer, Dirty McKenzie (aka DJ Apollo for those of you around in the early 90s).
