MJ may not be alive, but we are.
Contrary to our web presence over the past 4-6 months, we are alive and well! We've been extremely busy focusing our efforts on creating higher quality output. The results will finally see the light of day. Expect more in the future, but here is a teaser for now:

Decimal - Impulse Control Remixed (Tony Rohr & Par Grindvik Remixes)
Mark Broom meets Dustin Zahn - Trans Atlantic Xpress (Edit-Select vs Gary Beck Remix)
Psyk - Cubes/Clockwise (Centrific Remix)

Expect these releases and more to trickle out at the rate of 1-2 a month beginning in September. Check back at the end of July or early August for more info.

Spatial Remedy (Nondub Remix) [Digital Exclusive]
Flux[Digital Exclusive]
Velocity [Digital Exclusive]

"Spatial Remedy is the the latest offering from Enemy Records' mainstay, Decimal. This release is yet another new direction in scope and format for the experimentalist with two deep vinyl cuts and a handful of funkier and experimental offerings for digital release. Chicago's darkest atmospheres collide with resonant percussion and huge magnetic bass lines to redefine deepness for 2009 with an unmistakable sound. The title cut ripples with worried synths and shuffling beats and rises to a fever pitch of apocalyptic bells. The B-side, Nourmena Priori wiggles languidly into a firm groove as the synths drone and spin pushing ever forward. Cold driving power and dynamic shifts in mood proves once again that Decimal's tradition of quality techno continues."

Enemy is also pleased to offer not one, but 3 digital exclusive tracks! The first is a massive redux of Spatial Remedy, followed by the funky "Flux" and dubstep-tinged "Velocity."

  Impulse Control 1 @ Beatport
Decimal's brand new EP entitled "Impulse Control 1" is now available at Beatport. One offering features a sinister afterhours track while the other is a less conventional post-Detroit peak time bomb. We can't fit any more adjectives into our sentences so we'll leave it at that. To buy the MP3s, head over to Beatport and grab it today. If you have no feelings or morals, there's a good chance its available on the umpteen million illegal MP3 blogs as well.

  Zeromatic "Reflections"
Enemy Records' digital series has recently released "Reflections" by Zeromatic. Reflections focuses on the more textural and conceptual side of techno that is often buried by the countless club anthem-wannabes that are released on a weekly basis. While experimentation and progression seem to be two key words that are missing from many techno producer's vocabularies these days, this release does not follow that trend. If you're looking for dark, textural techno full of ambience, this may be of interest!

Available only at Beatport.

  Analog God Release Party
This past weekend in L.A., Droid Behavior hosted Interface 23.0. Not only was it a milestone 6 year anniversary for the LA-based promotion company, but it also played host to the "Analog God" release party. The EP hosts an original peak time track from Zahn, as well as remixes from Decimal, Drumcell & Audio Injection, Kyle Geiger, and Zahn himself giving it a rub down.

The party itself was fantastic. Set inside a Warehouse in East LA, the venue hosted a room chock full of techno and experimental. The production was top notch and the people were even better. Throw in a Turbo sound rig and you have the perfect techno party. To simply say "Thank you," is not enough. Happy 6 years, boys!

P.S. Also a shoutout to Matt & Rob at Compression for the generous hospitality on Friday night during the Drumcode showcase. With groups like Compression and Droid running things in LA, it's no wonder why things are blowing up on the West Coast.

  Chinese Democracy
It turns out Guns 'N Roses has announced the infamous "Chinese Democracy" will be released in the U.S. next month. Those who kept up with the press for The Attack People may remember we said the new Attack People material would be out around a week before 'Chinese Democracy' drops. Well, we didn't think that would ever actually happen. So...you'll have to keep waiting.

  Decimal's Funk deemed 'Ancient'
Decimal's "Babylon" is out now. Following up Technicolor Lover, this two track hints towards a more aggressive and energetic side of Decimal's production that hasn't been seen since his "Freekout" ep. Tracks include "Babylon" and "My Funk is Ancient." While we can attest the funk is indeed ancient, the beats definitely are not. Fresssshhhhh.

Grab it now at Beatport.
